How Do I Apply for Flying Training at CAA?

Chimes Aviation Academy is pleased to offer a diverse range of flying training programs for you to choose from.

Visit our website, click the "Apply Now" button, select the flying course you wish to pursue, and proceed with your application. If the application window is closed, please click "Enquire Now" within the "Apply Now" section to express your interest in future programs.

What is the admission Process?

To get started on your journey to your desired flying program, please follow these simple steps:

  • Begin by visiting our website, where you'll find the "Apply Now" button for your chosen training program. Alternatively, you can also access the application link through our Instagram page.
  • Complete the application form by providing all the necessary information. Ensuring that you accurately fill out all required fields is crucial to expedite the process.
  • Once you've submitted your application, our dedicated admissions team will carefully review the information you've provided.
  • If you meet our admissions criteria, you can expect to receive communication from CAA, which will include further instructions on the next steps.
  • After successfully clearing the assessment rounds and submitting the required documents, you will receive an offer to join the training program you've selected.

Is the selection process online or offline? Do I need to pay for my own boarding and lodging?

To apply for the Indigo CPP program, the process is an offline process. For the rest of our training programs, It is an online process. While appearing for the offline selection process candidates have to take care of their boarding and lodging.

Are the flying training programs open for international students?

Yes, they are open. The applicant has to apply to DGCA, which further sends the application for clearance from Government Authorities. We request you to please contact DGCA for clearance before the commencement of the flying program.

Can a non-science background person pursue flying training?

Suppose you have opted for Commerce or Arts stream at the 10+ 2 level, in that case, you can choose from a couple of routes- including Physics and maths as additional subjects (if you are currently pursuing 10 + 2) or enrolling as a private student in any recognised Open Schools or Universities. Alternatively, you can opt for the Private Pilot License or Cruiser Flying program to explore flying as a hobby.

What subjects do I need to prepare for the entrance test at CAA?

This entrance exam at CAA is administered online. It assesses your knowledge in English, Physics and Mathematics subjects equivalent to the 12th standard curriculum. Additionally, it includes some General and critical reasoning questions. The psychometric module of the test is designed to evaluate your cognitive and behavioural abilities relevant to pursuing a career as a pilot. The overall duration for this test is 2.5 hours.

What if I pass but score less than 50% in 10+2? Will I be eligible for flying training?

Suppose you do not meet the minimum academic requirement. In that case, you won't be eligible for the CPL program at Chimes Aviation Academy. However, you can choose to study and complete the necessary subjects through a recognised open schooling education board like the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). Once you attain a 50% or above score through this Open Schooling program, you will become eligible for the CAA CPL ( IR-ME) course.

No, Evaluation fees and Registration fees are non-refundable.

What documents do I need to enrol for flying training?

To enrol for flying training, you will need the following documents:

1. Recent size Passport Photograph.

2. 10th Grade Mark sheet

3. 12th Grade Mark sheet, including subjects like Mathematics, Physics & English

4. Medical certificates, which would include either a minimum Class II medical assessment certificate issued by DGCA class II form CA-35 issued by a DGCA-approved doctor for the application registration & verification process)

5. Proof of Identification and Address such as Aadhar Card

Can I still apply for the CAA Indigo Cadet Pilot Program if I am under 18 or awaiting my 10 + 2 exam results?

To be eligible for our CAA IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program, please note the following requirements:

  • You must be a minimum of 18 years old. 
  • You need your class XII mark sheet readily available before starting the application process.
  • If you are 17 years old or in your final year of schooling without your 10 + 2 results, you can begin the process by filling up the Enquiry form accessible through this link (Link) on our website.
  • Once you meet the necessary criteria, we will provide you with the link to complete the application form.
  • After applying along with the required documents to meet the eligibility criteria, CAA will process your application for the initial stage of the selection process.
