Introduction

Program Outline

Chimes Aviation Academy (CAA) takes great pride in its esteemed partnership with IndiGo, India's largest airline, to bring forth the prestigious IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program.

This comprehensive program encompasses everything from Ground School to Type Rating. At the end of the program, cadets emerge fully equipped and ready to embark on their careers as Junior First Officers with IndiGo.

Duration : Full time 20-month Program
Training Modules

The Program is divided into three phases

Ground School Training

This phase encompasses theory classes for all DGCA and WPC examinations conducted at our Ground School in Gurugram. The curriculum covers:

  • Aviation Meteorology
  • Air Regulations
  • Air Navigation
  • Technical General
  • Technical specific (Single Engine)
  • Radio Telephony
  • Aviation English Language Proficiency (AELP)

Phase 1

Flight Training (CPL - SE/IR)

The flying training phase takes place at our air bases in Dhana and Neemuch on our most modern fleet of Cessna 172, Piper Archer DX,  Tecnam P2010 Tdi and Diamond DA42 aircraft. Cadets train on our DGCA-approved aircraft simulators as a part of Flight Training.

Modules include

  • 185 hours on all Single Engine Aircraft
  • 15 hours on Diamond DA 42 Multi-Engine Aircraft
  • 30 hours of Simulator Flying

Phase 2

Type Rating

Upon successfully acquiring their Commercial Pilot License (CPL), cadets progress to Airbus A320 training with Multi Crew Coordination (MCC) and Jet Orientation Training (JOT) at a TRTO partner approved by IndiGo.

Phase 3

Admission

Eligibility

Education

10+2 with a minimum score of 51% / Grade Point 6 / Grade C1 (CBSE) individually in each subject, i.e., Physics / Mathematics / English.

Candidates with foreign qualifications must obtain an academic equivalency certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities)

National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)  mark sheets are accepted with a minimum score of 51% in Mathematics, Physics and English individually.

Age

Between 18 and 35 years of age

Medical

Valid Indian DGCA Class I Medical Certificate

Passport

Valid Indian Passport

Police Verification

Possess a Criminal Record Check (CRC) Basic Disclosure Certificate

English Language Fluency

Both written and verbal

Assessment & Selection Process

Our Selection Process is as follows:

After meeting the eligibility criteria, the candidates will be called for the following states of assessment:

Stage 1: ADAPT Assessment

The candidates undergo the ADAPT Assessment at our dedicated ADAPT centre. This assessment is an online psychometric and aptitude test tailor-made for aspiring pilots. Its primary goal is to assess the behavioural and cognitive proficiencies of individuals aspiring to pursue a career in Aviation.

The assessment fee for this stage is INR 30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand Rupees only).

Stage 2: Group Task Assessment with IndiGo Panellistse

This phase involves a Group Task Assessment, where prospective candidates showcase their collaborative and problem-solving skills.

Stage 3: Personal Interviews with IndiGo Panellists

Successful candidates from the previous stages will progress to personal interviews conducted by IndiGo Panellists. This stage offers candidates the opportunity to articulate their aspirations and experiences.

Upon successful completion of the above steps, the candidates will be invited to enrol and sign the Letter of Intent (LoI) with IndiGo.
