Chimes Aviation Academy is staffed by a team of globally experienced aviation specialists with deep exposure across training, commercial and defense aviation space.

CAA’s management team consists of business specialists who ensure quality and value in each facet of the academy. CAA’s faculty consists of a team of more than seven Flight Instructors with many years of global instructional experience along with five highly acclaimed ground instructors.

Profile of key members in detail:
Mr. Y.N. Sharma (Chief Operating Officer)
Y.N. Sharma is a qualified Private Pilots License (PPL) with rich exposure across Indian and global aviation market. He was also selected for the CPL programme at the prestigious Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Udan Academy (IGRUA) Fursatganj, Rae Bareli.
He has worked in the advertising industry from 1989 to 1997 and then as General Manager (Operations) with a cargo airline set-up in Delhi. He has extensive experience of handling aviation operations and setting up new projects.

Capt B.P.Singh (Director Academy & Chief Ground Instructor)
Capt. BP Singh is an ex-Indian Air Force pilot with over 8000 hours of flying on more than ten different types of aircraft. In the Air Force he was a qualified Flying Instructor and an Air Force Examiner. After his stint in the Air Force, he flew with a commercial airliner and in general aviation. Thereafter, he spent seven years at the Malaysian Flying Academy as Standards Officer and Chief Flying Instructor. He brings his vast and varied experience to make Chimes Aviation Academy a world class flying training institute.

Air Cmde N Minocha VM (Retd)(Head Quality & Safety)
Air Cmde N Minocha (Retd) is an A-2 grade Flying Instructor and an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington with 48 years of experience in flying operations, flight safety and planning & management of aviation projects. His rich experience includes 33 years in Indian Air Force with exposure to aircraft like the Mirage-2000; important field and staff assignments with distinction of the Presidential award of Vayu Sena Medal.
His varied experience includes seven years with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) as GM Flight Operations & Safety and Advisor on the Flight Simulation Projects and eight years in General Aviation Planning of Aviation Projects and facilities for aircraft.

Mr. Uday Punj (Director)
Uday Punj is Founder and Director of Chimes group(www.chimesgroup.in), a multi-venture organization with international footprints and key interests in aviation, technology, education and business services amongst others.

The group's entry into the aviation sector is with Chimes Aviation Academy (www.caaindia.com).Other businesses of the group include Petro IT (www.petroitg.com) - a specialized ITES offering focused on the Energy Industry, Incube (www.incube.in) - ready to move premium office spaces and business center. Mr Punj is also Founder Director of the Punj Lloyd Group, where he was involved in the management and handled global responsibilities for 25 years, until 2006.

Besides his personal passion for aviation, Mr. Punj has varied experience in the sector, having been involved in several key projects from Punj Lloyd.

Uday is an alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University and has extensively attended continuing education programmes at Wharton School and Harvard Business School, USA.
