The Asia Pacific region will need hundreds of thousands of new commercial airline pilots and maintenance technicians over the next
20 years to support aircraft modernization and growing air travel demand, according to a Boeing report released Monday.
In its 2012 Pilot and Technician Outlook report, Boeing said the region will need 185,600 new pilots and 243,500 new technicians bythe year 2030, with China leading the region in terms of demand.
