Dear friends, Presently, I am in USA from last 50 days and visiting many airports & airfields. As per my personal experience, CAA is better than any academy across USA & Canada. " Hats off to Mr.Uday Punj,Chairman, Capt. YN Sharma,COO, Capt.BPSingh CFI and entire team " for providing Airline's standard Pilot's training in India. Dear Preety, 1st of all please bear in mind flying is not glamor but its a very disciplined and expensive course, you need to be mentally prepared for them to start with. The course anywhere would cost you around 20-22 lacs including everything. While selecting a academy- if possible do visit the location (very important), interact with students and check how much actual flying happens , what aircraft student ratio is (ideally 1:8), location is conducive for flying, not too much heat, snow, wind etc , type of fleet latest and new is always an advantage and of-course the faculty. as eligibility w.r.t DGCA requirements are 18 yrs for issue of CPL (so you can join when you are 16+), Class XII with phy & maths, good english and class I & II medical. If you are planning to join an academy in next 6 months do get you medical cleared as it usually takes time and god-forbid there are no surprises!! The eligibility & India Vs US is pretty well explained on CAA website FAQ section. For any other queries would be happy to respond.
